Since her post-jail interview on “Larry King Live” in late June, in which the heiress professed in confident tones that she had changed, her voice has almost entirely reverted back to the baby whisper that viewers came to know during her five seasons on “The Simple Life.” And by early afternoon, she’s glammed up for a night out on the town.

Some things have changed, though. Her “hot list” now includes selfless areas of interest.

Shortly after her release, she visited the Los Angeles Children’s Hospital and is in talks to be its ambassador.

“I went and visited the little premature babies who were only, like, 1 pound. And the cancer patients,” she says. “It’s nice when I can go there and visit them and brighten their day and make them smile. … I think it’s definitely important for people to give back.”

Admiring the charity work of Angelina Jolie, Hilton applies her “hot” label to issues such as breast cancer and multiple sclerosis “because I lost my grandmothers to both of those diseases. And also helping the environment. Global warming is ‘not’ hot.”

One part of Parisdom, it seems, will never change: The paparazzi presence. Two are sitting across the street from the Malibu beach house she’s renting for the summer, waiting for her to take off somewhere in her baby-blue Bentley.

“I came out to the beach to relax and get away because [the paparazzi] infested my Hollywood Hills home, and now they’re all over the beach,” she says. When she pulls a white curtain shielding her back patio from the sand, it takes only a few seconds for a dozen paparazzi to jump to their feet and begin snapping. Yet she gamely gives the shutterbugs what they’re there for: She pouts and poses.

That 23-day stint in jail for violating probation doesn’t seem to have limited her career options. A movie musical (”Repo! The Genetic Opera”) and designer shoe line (with Antebi Footwear) were just announced, her second album is in the works, and her fourth perfume is due in the fall.

Oprah Winfrey is in a small town in Canada, and lucky PerezHilton.com reader Zoe got the opportunity to meet her on Friday.

Here’s what she has to share:

“Dear Perez,

Yesterday was probably the biggest thing to happen in the history of the small town I live in… EVER! I was born and raised in Alert Bay BC up here in Canada in a small fishing village (population 1400). We don’t get a lot of excitement here, so when I noticed this giant yacht parked at the local dock, I knew it was someone important. Sure enough, the town was buzzing with word that OPRAH WINFREY was here! I couldn’t believe it! My sister and I were really excited. We heard through local chatter where she was and decided to walk in that direction. Apparently she had already checked out our local cultural centre (half the population here is native). As my sister and I were walking and chatting about how cool that was, I realized that Oprah was in the group of 3 people walking in our direction. It was just her, an older gentleman and another lady. No security or body guards or anything like that. As we were passing her, a car of women stopped and Oprah graciously signed their Oprah magazines and took pictures with them. Word around town is that she was incredibly nice to everyone and signed a lot of autographs and took pictures with lots of people. Anyway, just thought I’d let you know our tiny little island was fortunate to have THE Oprah Winfrey on it for a few hours.”

“She arrived about 5 minutes late and the crowed got restless, but everything was smooth sailing when she stepped up to the mic. The best part was she seemed sober! No slurring, drinking (except a soda can which probably had a little something inside) or obnoxious behavior! She was able to pull her mic out of the wiring and reassemble it in seconds. It was a great performance and her husband was on stage the entire time filming her. It was adorable the way they’d look at each other when she would dedicate a song to him.”

After all the drama of the last minute cancellation of their wedding last weekend, they are now officially husband and wife!

Usher and his pregnant former stylist, mother of three Tameka Foster, ten years his senior got married quietly in Atlanta on Friday, according to this report in the Chicago Sun Times.

In contrast to the more lavish ceremony they had planned, the pair held their quiet I Dos at an intimate ceremony in the Atlanta offices of the singer’s lawyer.

Hopefully that means Usher’s got a good prenup. He’s probably gonna need it real soon!

Among those reportedly present at the nuptials was Usher’s mother and former manager, Jonetta Patton, who, it has been widely reported, staunchly disapproved of the marriage.

Usher and Tameka are expecting their first child together, due this fall.

They’ll be divorced by winter.

Tori Spelling’s wedding dress that ended up on eBay was just a mistake. The Badgley Mischka original was not supposed to be for sale on the auction site, the actress reveals exclusively to PerezHilton.com.

Explains Tori, “As your friend and loyal reader I went online this am and saw the eBay and my wedding dress story. Ummm… OMG! Our eBay woman we use to sell stuff also did our yard sale and moved ALL our boxes from that house. I have so much stuff that apparently she took my 1st wedding box. Anyway, I had no idea she was putting all that stuff on. Not her fault but HUGE mistake. But, thanks to you, my friend, I realized it and just talked to her. She is pulling all of it off eBay and returning it to me. Its kinda cute that thanks to you it got fixed.”
